Professor John Hegarty

John Hegarty was elected Provost of Trinity College Dublin in 2001. He holds a BSc in Physics/Chemistry/Mathematics & Philosophy, a DipEd and PhD. He is a member of the American Physical Society, the Institute of Electronic and Electrical Engineers and Royal Irish Academy. He has been a research associate at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and research scientist at Bell Laboratories, New Jersey.
