Welcome to Clandeboye
Unfortunately, due to the impact of COVID-19,
The Clandeboye Festival will not be taking place in 2020.
Please see our full statement below for further details.
In August each year, Camerata Ireland return to our home at Clandeboye Estate for a jam packed festival of music making.
Under the careful direction of Barry Douglas, some of the finest artists from across the globe gather in the surroundings of the 19th century grounds to collaborate, teach, and perform.
During the festival, we also run the Camerata Ireland Academy.
This intensive one-week course gives Ireland's brightest student musicians the opportunity to learn from our top soloists, play concerts together, and compete for a range of bursaries to further their musical studies.
Clandeboye Festival 2020
COVID-19 Update
Like our friends and colleagues across the arts sector, we at Camerata Ireland are currently facing the unprecedented challenge of COVID-19, and its impact on live performances.
Therefore, it is with a heavy heart, that we must inform you that this year’s Clandeboye Festival will not be taking place, due to the impact of COVID-19.
Applications for the Camerata Ireland Academy at Clandeboye have also been suspended - however, students interested in applying for the academy should register their interest using the dedicated students sign up form below.
Despite the challenges that face us all, we are thrilled to present Clandeboye At Home, an online festival you can view on-demand from the safety and comfort of your own home. This special digital festival features the orchestra of Camerata Ireland & Barry Douglas in all five of Beethoven's magnificent piano concertos.
For now, all of us at Camerata Ireland wish you safety, and good health until we can enjoy live music safely, together again.
Camerata Ireland Academy
Sadly, our usual residential course at Clandeboye wont be possible this summer. Despite this, we're hoping to launch an alternative Academy programme which will run during the 2020-2021 academic year.
If you were considering applying to the academy this summer, please sign up to our dedicated students mailing list below, for an update on our new academy plans.
