Camerata Ireland, Artistic Director, Barry Douglas and trumpeter Niall Keatley

On November 4th 2021, the orchestra performed a great Irish/Russian programme at the National Concert Hall to a very appreciative audience. The centrepiece was Shostakovich Concerto for piano and trumpet. The fascinating new piece by Sean Doherty, "Clandeboye Overture" (commissioned for the 20th anniversary of the Clandeboye Festival 2021 and supported by the Arts Council of Northern Ireland) began the programme. Followed by Barry's arrangements of 2 John Field Nocturnes for piano and chamber orchestra. Finishing off the concert was the amazing Tchaikovsky Serenade for Strings.

Next concert at the NCH will be May 29th 2022 with Beethoven Triple Concerto
