“Great, intimate music making in a wonderfully informal environment - enthralling, thrilling and relaxed, all at the same time - a potent combination!”
Audience member, 2023
Founded in 2001 by Barry Douglas, the Clandeboye Festival takes place every August in the Clandeboye Estate, Co. Down. For 23 years, the festival has welcomed some of the world's greatest musical talents to perform in the intimate and historic surroundings of the Banqueting Hall and Chapel at Clandeboye, and provided a nurturing and inspiring environment for young talent to flourish in the Camerata Ireland Academy.
"The beautiful but confined space of the Clandeboye Banqueting Hall, and the relatively smallish ensemble combined to give the performance an authenticity reminiscent of the early days of Beethoven himself when his music was first played to audiences and surroundings vastly different to those in today’s spectacular concert halls."
Alf McCreary, The Newsletter, 2023
The 24th Clandeboye Festival will take place from 16th-23rd August 2025. Book now via the link below!
