Some Sad News

It is with great sadness that we have to inform you that our Camerata Ireland Chairman, Mr Thomas Lynch passed away at the beginning of April after a short illness.

Tom was very important in helping direct the orchestra over the past few years and also helping to raise financial support for the orchestra’s activities. He was extremely supportive of the orchestra, and gave us very useful advice on business and arts funding, due to his vast experience in the corporate world, and also having been on the board and also Chairman of many international arts bodies such as Opera Ireland and the Royal Opera House Covent Garden. He was a very learned person with a great sense of humour, and he will be sorely missed by us all. We send our sincerest condolences to his wife Deirdre and 3 children.
